Tempest Bale Slicer

A groundbreaking solution developed in partnership between Chinook Hay Systems and Ghost River Systems Inc., designed to optimize your hay processing operations. The Tempest allows producers to capitalize on the efficiency of large square balers while delivering retail-ready, small bale products suitable for the feed store and equine industry.

The Process

Large bales are loaded, twine is removed (manually or automatically), and bales are pushed through fixed cutting blades. Slices are separated and fed into a bale chamber for final sizing before optional output to a unitizing/bundling system.

Availability

The first unit is nearing completion (as of early 2025). Next delivery anticipated for November 2025.

Wraith Bale Former

The Wraith Bale Former processes loose-fed Alfalfa into large-sized, retail-ready sleeved bales, typically weighing between 330 - 370Kg (approx. 725 - 815 lbs).

Designed with a product-focused approach for robustness and adaptability, the Wraith emphasizes modularity to allow for various configurations and integration with existing customer facilities and handling equipment.
